We have a long-established, friendly, family-run business and one of the first commercial vineyards in the UK (excl. Romans). Decades of experience in perfecting fine wines, all made from grapes from our 37 acres in E Sussex, or from local sites that we manage.
Alex is our secret weapon, second generation winemaker, and a rarity in the UK to have literally grown up in the industry. His parents planted the vines that Alex grew up amongst as a toddler. His perfectionist streak earned him a first and the Vintner’s Cup - as the best student in his WSET Diploma (effectively a degree in the wine world). Perfectionism drives our team. Vines are tended by hand, from pruning to training and grape picking. Our wines take from 6 months to 3 years (depending on the wine style) to be fermented, expertly blended and bottled on site.
