Description:

A comprehensive range of 12 English wines.

Brut (Vintage: 08): Dry. Pale golden with subtle aromas of fresh apple and elderflower, racy and fresh. Bottle maturation provides hints of biscuit on the nose, and butter on the palate. Grapes: Reichensteiner, Schonburger [abv 12%]

Rosé Sparkling (Vintage: 06): Dry. Having rested on the skins the colour is a delicate salmon pink. Ripe summer berries on the nose, especially redcurrants and raspberries, with hints of cherry spice typical of Pinot Noir. On the palate distinct flavours of red berries and fresh cherry, and a beautifully silky mousse. Hint of sweetness and a satisfying lasting finish. Grapes: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. [abv 12%]

Vintage (Vintage: 06): Dry. Matured in the bottle for 3 years on the lees, has a gentle golden colour and a soft peachy nose, with hints of apple and vanilla. Fresh fruit flavours have a subtle complexity and a luscious, sweet finish. A rich velvety mouth feel and wonderfully fine, creamy mousse. Grapes: Reichensteiner, Schonburger [abv 12%]

Alexis (Vintage: 10): The flagship dry white, crisp and aromatic with a fresh grassy, slightly peachy nose. Refreshing lemon and lime palate with hints of lychee, with a long dry citrus finish. Perfect accompaniment for delicate starters eg asparagus, or with fresh fish, shellfish and white meats. Grapes: Wurzer, Ortega [abv 11%]

1066 (Vintage: 10): Dry. Pale with silvery edges; crisp, light and refreshing. Delicate notes of elderflower and lime, and underlying tones of fresh, green apple. Great by itself, or with seafood or chicken. 1066 has proved to be the most popular easy drinking wine. Grapes: Reichensteiner, Wurzer [abv 11%]

Vessel IV (Vintage: 10): Medium. Picked late in autumn, the ripest grapes are fermented slowly to create a rich, crisp and juicy wine, with lemon and elderflower flavours and a hint of spice. Fresh but balanced sweetness makes it a perfect aperitif. Goes well with Asian food, light desserts and mild cheeses. Grapes: Gutenbourner, Reichensteiner, Muller-Thurgau [abv 10.5%]

Rosé (Vintage: 09): Dry. Mid cherry pink in colour, this wine has a delightfully subtle nose of raspberries and cherries. Typical English crispness compliments the soft red fruit flavours. Ideal with barbecues, pork or poultry roasts, smoked foods or rich white meat. Grapes: Dornfelder, Pinot Noir [abv 11.5%]

Apple [11.5% abv, 50cl]: Medium dry. After fermenting the highest quality apple juice, an authentic and aromatic wine is created. Aromas of ripe red apples, crisp, refreshing and full of flavour. Driest of the Fruit Wines. Can be drunk as an alternative to a traditional white wine. Goes especially well with roast pork, or barbequed pork & apple sausages!

Elderberry [11.5% abv, 50cl]: It’s back by popular demand! The English alternative to Port. Sweet. Especially heavenly with mature English cheddar. Warmed, it is soothing for sore throats and colds.

Ginger [11.5% abv, 50cl]: classic Ginger Wine has a wonderfully warm, spicy mouthful, bursting with intense ginger flavour. Sweet. It has a delicious warming flavour and can be mixed with Whisky to make a Whisky Mac, or Brandy to make a Horse’s Neck. Good with pears and rhubarb or poured over ice cream. Wonderful in stir fries to give an authentic oriental flavour.

Cherry [11.5% abv, 50cl]: Sweet. A delicious dessert wine, smooth and well balanced with a full fruit finish. Rich and fruity by itself or add an extra dimension to gravies and sauces.

Blackcurrant [11.5% abv, 50cl]: Sweet. English alternative to a classic cassis liqueur, rich and tangy, with a voluptuous sweetness that envelops the taste buds. Treat yourself to a Kir by adding it to white wine, or as an extra special treat, to Sparkling Wine for a Kir Royale.
